Co-curricular Activities

Year 6 Canberra Tour

Every year the Year Six class undertakes an educational and team building tour to our nation’s capital, Canberra.  This is the last camp that these pupils will be going on as primary school students and it is an experience that they will never forget.  Students develop a deeper understanding of how we are governed, how laws are made, electoral processes and rights, Australian identity, history and heritage. In addition to this, students will be able to experience, first-hand, things which they have learnt in History lessons.

Activities include a visit to Parliament House, Cockington Green, the Australian War Memorial, Black Mountain Tower, CSIRO, the Australian Institute of Sport and a “snow day” at Perisher Blue.
